As soon as I read that America was a republic when people believed it to be a democracy I figured there wasn’t to be much substance to this article. I believed it to be an 8 minute read but of course much of that is taken up with the bibliography which you might think indicates this is a serious discussion which it isn’t.

It’s just incredibly superficial while some of the conclusions are absurd to the point I wouldn’t argue any of them because we would get mired in the ground rules before engaging in a serious argument.
