Britain’s meaningless gesture with regard to Palestine

This follows on from my previous article — What was Zomlot Thinking? and is the logical conclusion to that article. A detail that I was not unaware of but slipped my mind was who Husam Zomlot reports to. It is of course the Palestinian Authority (PA), the unofficial head of which is Mahmoud Abbas thought of by many Palestinians to be a traitor. The PA is unquestionably compromised and is a Vichy regime acting as a police force on behalf of Zionist Israel. Abbas is not even a legitimate leader having disallowed his re-election. The role of the PA is to quell dissent yet, as someone has said, will never be accepted by it’s masters.

Husam was recently interviewed by Palestine Deep Dive and while he stood up for the Palestinian cause, pushing back against the UK media, he was shockingly accommodating when it came to Israel’s Arab neighbours. Does he want to be everyone’s friend? It’s also interesting to note how while Zomlot regularly speaks from the stage at the London marches organised by Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC), Lowkey isn’t welcome. Ben Jamal, Director of PSC, has also been interviewed on Palestine Deep Dive and was unimpressive.
