From the subtitle I thought you were going to be a little more upbeat. You are right that this man's death is relatively meaningless in itself. As Nathan Robinson has said, CEO's are fungible. They are totally replaceable (ironic considering the money they're on). But that isn't the point of this story.

The story is that the death of hundreds of thousands of Americans had been avenged. Maybe nothing was achieved but at least karma was satisfied. Ultimately this world won't be saved by activists through altruism but by ordinary people through communal self interest.

The corporate world might be able to move on as if nothing happened but this could be a pivotal point. The US is a powder keg of loathing, distrust and contempt for corporations, billionaires and politicians just waiting for a spark. And with the capitalists unable and unwilling to curb their lust for wealth and power and the people with nowhere to go, this could either be the moment or a precursor to the moment when the shit hits the fan.
