Hamas has proved that it can survive Israel's aggression no matter how devastating and evil it is. They continually salvage Israeli munitions and produce their own weapons from that salvage. Hamas don't need Iran to supply them weapons, Israel already does that. Hamas's numbers have grown. The more evil the IDF become the more they recruit.

It's the IDF that was at breaking point, it's soldiers exhasted, demoralised and disabled. Israel couldn't last a week without US support which is why Netanyahu said "How high?" when Trump said "Jump".
