How can it do this? In 2018 I would have agreed with you. The Great March of Return distanced itself from Hamas. The Palestinians appealed to the international community by holding a peaceful protest. For this they got mowed down by Israel and ignored by the international community. This proved that laying down arms was suicidal. Palestine would go the way of indigenous americans.

Hamas has gained in popularity during the current siege. I don’t hear the people of Gaza condemning Hamas. You are obviously knowledgeable (much more so than I am) but this doesn’t resonate with me.
