I am a Christian but I found this disappointing. It turned out to be a standard sermon that starts off with a philosophical question and ends up with a standard, predictable answer. Christianity cannot be relevant when it answers its own questions.

Years ago I was handed a leaflet that questioned people’s belief that they would go to heaven because they were good. I looked around and wondered if the question of heaven was in anyone’s thoughts.

Then there’s the story of the Sunday school teacher who described a squirrel and asked the kids what he was describing. One kid holds up his hand and says, “I don’t really know but is it Jesus?”
