I have to say this piece by Alexander is far from convincing. Its quite odd how he keeps referring to 'the NHS' as if it were a department. At no point does he refer to a doctor or doctor's surgery (except that he had to consult his doctor before stopping the drug treatment). He's sent to a clinic rather than a specialist or hospital and then has to fill in a book's worth of questions or he won't be admitted. That doesn't sound right.
This doesn't read like it was written by someone who has had legal training. I'm pretty sure there's no such thing as declaring someone 'a patient' and the way he describes you is as if you were an extension of his own psyche. I'm not a professional but I'd say he was depressed when he wrote this. It feels very self obsessed.
