I see 3 issues apart from the anti-trans thing.
1. Political activism in the current political climate is so fraught with IED's. The election of a Labour government with no moral compass, no vision and an utterly fraudulent mandate has made this space extremely toxic.
2. Actiivism based on the rightness of the cause but without a fundamental universal sense of justice can end up chasing its own tail and suffer from a lack of genuine allies. Trans activism doesn't necessarily need allies who agree on its vision but it needs those who can identify with its sense of injustice.
3. All movements carry baggage which can come from private agendas, newbies who cannot be convinced that there are things they need to learn or veterans who don't think there's anything they need to learn. Activists need to be teachable.
