I was involved in the house church movement from the 70's onwards and absorbed a good deal of dominion theology from US preachers. Messianic Jews were put on huge pedestals. It wasn't until the 90's that I sussed how right wing these 'influencers' were and it wasn't till the turn of the century that the myth of the miraculous birth of Israel began to reveal its dark underbelly and I deduced that the Christian fundamentalists and Islamic fundamentalists could only be distinguished by their badges.

It seemed to me that Christian Zionists were more dangerous than their Jewish counterparts and that now appears to be borne out. Its interesting that some of the reformers were the worst people. Zwingly was a sadist. We've had 500 years of settler colonialism sponsored by the capitalists and endorsed by the church. Just like the Pharisees in the Acts of the Apostles, religious leaders hold the coats of those who throw the stones.
