I’m not sure how much of this is deliberate and how much is down to incompetence. The vagueness of the message along with the softening of the colour scheme is clearly deliberate. The government has no strategy to speak of so making the message vague allows them to control the narrative.

Shifting the blame to the people while keeping control centrally is in line with their divide and rule MO. The point of this is that they know their power base is small so they cannot afford a coherent people’s narrative, especially now their neoliberal lies have been exposed.

In the short term, opposition can do nothing more than mitigate the worst of what this government inflict upon us. Any full frontal assault will ultimately be futile. The only substantive action will be subversive and grass roots. Our democracy has been corrupted to the point that its barely functional.
