I'm not sure why you bring Owen Jones up because he's not representative of Palestine support. You rightly point out that the left are all over the place and Jones certainly didn't help in that regard.

Your argument is fine in itself except for your dismissal of Palestine supporters in general. Yes, there are many who are either hopelessly optimistic or delusional in what they see as their capacity to make a difference but your conclusion leaves no room for any optimism which is ultimately useless.

Given that a large number of Israelis, Including Ben Gvir, who have declared that Israel lost the war in Gaza, the hammering that the IDF were getting in the last few weeks and the emergence of Hamas at the end, I have to reject your conclusion. Nothing is settled either in Gaza, Lebanon or Syria. Israel have thoroughly lost control of the narrative while the Natanyahu visit was pure pantomime.

We are coming to the end of 500 years of European colonialism as Europe collapses and the UK embraces totalitarianism. Its all coming into focus while the USA east itself.

Finally, you speak of "any kind of victory". Have the Palestinians won nothing and Netanyahu lost nothing? Maybe you need to revisit this in 5, 10, 20 years. It might look a little different then.
