Interestingly it took me less than half an hour (with no prior knowledge) to locate an article by Yourgrau’s son, in The Nation, that very clearly substantiates how he saw fascist tendencies in the Zionist movement.

It’s interesting that his wife came from South Africa. Presumably she would see the link between Zionism and apartheid (though technically apartheid was introduced in 1948).

It’s also revealing how you see Yourgrau’s comment being directed at the Jews as absurd when it’s Zionists who were the object of his derision, not Jews.
