It strikes me that while 'Northern Ireland' and 'North of Ireland' have different connotations, 'West Bank' is literally correct as its the west bank of the Jordan river while 'Judea & Samaria' is contentious at best. In reality the West Bank is the universally accepted title making 'Judea & Samaria' quaint and ridiculous when used in any context other than a religious aspiration.
