Jessica calls herself an influencer which was a turn off for me. Why do you need to explicitly say you influence people? I subscribed to Umair but found his stuff gratuitously depressing. I believe in telling it like it is but without hope that achieves nothing. Recently I've found him over egging the pudding that suits his narrative and now don't even bother looking.

We are in a time where a nuclear threat hangs over our heads but 60 years ago we escaped Armageddon by the skin of our teeth. We are not there yet but petrifying ourselves into hopeless non action only makes it more likely.

I'm convinced that my recycling isn't going to save the planet and that I shouldn't be carrying that burden because its not my fault. But I will keep recycling because it gives me skin in the game.
