Jesus condemned the Pharisees for making a big show of their generosity and charity. Also for proselytizing and making their converts twice the candidate for hell as they were. Evangelicals talk endlessly about not being like a pharisee yet that's precisely what they are. However, if there was one sin I would level at evangelicals it would be the pernicious evil of contol.
