My take would be quite different. Jesus didn’t identify with the Jews who rose up against Rome. However, neither did he identify with the Jewish leaders. If he were in Israel today he would be condemning Israel’s actions wholeheartedly, calling out the genocide. He would identify with the Palestinians and would not condemn Hamas.
He would call out the hypocrisy of those defending Israel’s right to exist or right of defence. There’s no indication among the writings about him that he was militant but he would sit amongst the people of Gaza, crying for them and healing their wounds.
