Politically England is in the toilet but your appraisal of England is very jaundiced. I’m not a patriot (haven’t celebrated the jubilee) but reading your rant I feel very protective and appreciative of what is good about my country. Every time I hear about another mass shooting I’m extremely grateful of our gun laws and the reactions to Priti Patel’s heinous flight to Rwanda makes me proud of our English communities.

If your objective was to renew hope and love for England you’ve done a brilliant job.
