A poster child

For the war hawks
- with their smallbox
— and their shiny things
— - That’s all they bring

To a land that lives

They bring their death
- With rancid breath
— they hail their king
— - “It’s ours” they sing

Masters of munitions and of genocide
You came, you killed, you poisoned and you lied

A poster child

For those who trade
- in lives
— and watch the death toll mount
— - Lives do not count

Lest we forget

Don’t waste your breath
- You honour
— your forever wars
— - that only pause

Amerigo Vespucci and Columbus
Marco Polo, Livingstone and Drake
Walter Raleigh, James Cook and da Gama
What’s your take?

A poster child
