Thanks for this. It made me think of how egotistical young children are (in a selfless way). They crave attention and love nothing more than being praised for the most inane and inconsequential actions. Within the birth/death cycle we all need validation and its through creativity that we receive this. The commodification of creativity is one of the evils of our society and grossly distorts the value of both the insanely rich and the shamefully poor.
