Thanks so much for this. For those of us who are genuinely confused (not angry) its a breath of fresh air. It was helpful for you to differentiate gender from gender identity even though I do appreciate that 'gender' is now generally taken to mean gender identity and 'sex' refers strictly to our biology. I still struggle with sex being 'assigned' to us like it was a decision by the doctor rather than an observation.

I feel there needs to be room for parallel conversations because language can be both devisive and constructive depending on your perspective. Language can expose bigotry but also help explore misunderstanding
