“They simply flattened the place”

“Simply” is the operative word. That’s all they’ve done. Its like winning at chess by stealing the king. The IDF didn’t win. It’s been said that Netanyahu welcomed, and may even have instigated, Trump’s ultimatum because his troops were exhausted and getting humiliated in the North. The number of Israeli soldiers killed, wounded and terminally traumatised was staggering. Hamas, in contrast, were stronger and more numerous than before October 7th. They also completely foxed Israeli surveillance. US marines that worked with the IDF couldn’t believe how disorganised and undisciplined the IDF troops were.

“It has destroyed Hezbollah as any kind of effective force”

You don’t know that. They weren’t defeated militarily by Israel. Cowardly Israel targeted civilians, blowing up their houses while at the same time gaining no ground. They only gained ground when Hezbollah honoured the ceasefire. Yet again, the IDF won nothing. They get everything handed to them, the guiltless, ill trained cowards.

“…put Iran in its box”

Iran, like Hezbollah, has had to regroup. To say they’ve been put in a box is to overly simplify what’s happening in Syria. The USA and Russia have also been boxed in - boxed in by Turkey and ISIS (whom they initially funded). The only winner there is Turkey.

“Gvir and others comments have to be taken in the context”

The contest is, Israel is in deep trouble and even if the ceasefire isn’t a material defeat it’s an emotional defeat. You discount that.

“…no future for Palestine"

Again, this is your projection. You are basing your entire analysis on your presumption that Palestine is history. It’s your starting point and your whole article is geared towards proving that point but with no genuine insight, only your assumptions.

“…just more of the same delusion and wishful thinking based on moralism”

You presume that because I have a moral position that I’m bound by my convictions. I do favour positive outcomes for the Palestinians but I also refuse to believe something because it fits my preferred outcome. I push against that to the point where I feel terribly depressed and only find solace in an explanation that fits all the facts and history I’m aware of.

“He is likely to be removed”

Yes, Starmer will be removed. He’s a plant. He’s weak and awkward and hated by everyone. But he’s not an aberration. This is the logical conclusion of British politics along with American and German politics. Starmer is simply another rather useless politician put in place to do the bidding of the actual movers and shakers.

“It was replaced by imperialism”

No, it shifted from the old style European colonialism to the new world of neo-colonialism and US hegemony, an offshoot of the British Empire which still exists as support for the US war machine.

“…no likelihood of the EU nor the US collapsing”

The EU is utterly pathetic. Once viewed as a potential world power, it now simply serves its US masters. A good example is the blowing up of the Nordstream pipeline which was effectively an act of war by the US on Germany. It’s pretty well recognised that the US is in terminal decline though it still wields great power (for now).
