This very much resonates with my reading of the biblical story of Israel ending in its exile and ultimately being a mere remnant in the land of its fathers. Fundamentalist Christians along with fundamentalist Jews can’t get past Joshua & Moses. There is no Christ for the Christian Zionists. The prophets weep for Jews who lust for a new temple.
