“Tories Out” is Hollow Nonsense
It’s probably safe to say that the majority of people in the UK would be happy to get the vain, corrupt, nasty Tories out of government. The obvious retort is “What will you replace them with”? A government that put people first and genuinely represented those who elected them would fit the bill but where would that come from? With the UK’s first past the post electoral system the only party that has a hope in hell of unseating the Tories is the Labour Party.
“Problem solved” you might think. But what evidence is there that a Labour government would put people first and genuinely represent their interests? If you are a politics nerd or have a similarly tenuous reason to exist you might have followed Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves (shadow leader and Chancelor respectively) as they tour UK institutions and promote their political mission. Not having been in power for 13 years it might seem reasonable for the Labour Party not to be able to evidence effective government in a meaningful way. However you might glean some insights from the rhetoric of its promoters (see above). Furthermore you might wish to consider how Labour conducts affairs internally.
Corruption
