Unfortunately tying the history of the Israelites to the land doesn't actually serve your purpose. Even if it could be proved that there was a geographical kingdom of Israel 3 millenia ago, that wouldn't solve the issue of receipts. Palestinians still have the keys to their houses stolen from them 75 years ago. Jewish settlers don't even have a traceable ancestry.
But your main problem is that this article simply challenges the basis on which Ben-Gurion justified the Zionists project. Even if you rubbish the entire article you still have to explain how this justifies Israel's brutal occupation of what you refer to as 'the land of Israel', just like validating the cherry tree story would serve no purpose.
