When you say “do not protect the criminals” what do you mean by “criminals”? Criminals are created by the justice system. They have committed an act deemed by the law to be a crime and been caught committing that act. The USA is a rare exception when it comes to capital punishment and has a larger prison population than any country so how is it soft on crime?
