Whoops There Goes Another Empire

It’s pretty clear that in the United States of America we’re seeing an empire in decline. It doesn’t have the appearance of an empire such as that of Britain. It doesn’t rule colonies in the way Britain did but it has over 800 military bases around the world, replaces regimes that don’t serve its purposes and shuts down or destroys countries that go rogue. When Hussein and Gaddafe had the temerity to sell oil in anything other than dollars they signed their death warrants. When Iran nationalised what was British Petroleum years before, Mosaddech was replaced with the Shah.

When the USA doesn’t invade or bomb a country into compliance it might manufacture what’s known as a colour revolution, an uprising that might appear to be popular and spontaneous but is carefully planned by US backed NGO’s. Another favourite is applying sanctions, effectively starving a country (almost any country) into submission. Their most recent regime change operation has been through Ukraine via a proxy war with the aim of destabilising Russia and hopefully ousting Putin. Ukraine’s Maidan colour revolution happened in 2014, aided and abetted by Victoria Nuland, Barack Obama’s central agent.
