Yes it’s sad that among the captives were those somewhat sympathetic to the Palestinian plight yet their very existence immediately outside the open air prison that is Gaza mocked the people subject to Israel’s barbarity

Yet again you are very selective when it comes to making your point. If there have been abuses of the captives they are atypical. Every released prisoner I’ve seen has been in radiant health and spoken of being treated very well. In contrast the Palestinians held in administrative detention are regularly tortured, starved, humiliated and conditions untreated - many have died.
