You know, I tend to forget things that aren't true.

1. Its all about the land which is why Israel has been building settlements for years in contravention of international law. The Palestinians have several times conceded land in favour of a peaceful resolution and each time Israel has simply ignored the agreement.

2. What is happening now is a genocide. The Israeli leaders have already admitted to that while the actions of Israel to cut off all means of maintaining life in Gaza is evidence of it.

3. Who said Hamas were progressive? Progressives don't so much side with Hamas as oppose Israel because its an occupier and is an apartheid state.

4. Of course Gaza is a prison. Israel controls its water, power, food and much more. The people can't go in or out of Gaza without Israel's say so. They are fenced in by land and blockaded by sea. The water Israel so kindly allows Gazans to have is largely undrinkable.

5. Hamas was installed by Israel. Gazan's voted for Hamas because Fatah were corrupt and served Israel, not the Palestinians. If Hamas built hospitals or schools Israel would blow them up.

I know you're wrong. The evidence is stacked up against pretty much everything you've written here. I've followed the Israel - Palestine conflict for years, initially in defence of Israel. Unfortunately all the facts pointed towards Israel as an occupier that treats those it occupies abysmally.
